Mummies film uncovers secrets of Egypt’s pharaohs

The Detroit News has a short feature on the Giant Screen film, Mummies: Secrets of the Pharaohs, currently showing at the Detroit Science Center’s IMAX Dome Theatre.

Keith Melton, the film’s director, says he and the film crew ventured to Egypt and Morocco, chronicling the archaeological journey.

“Honestly, I learned so much.” Melton says. “Trying not to overwhelm the audience with so much information is a big challenge with this type of film. We also had to make it interesting for adults and children.”

A 3D version of the film was released in March of this year.
