Connecticut’s HamletHub reports:
Here’s your chance to say, “You’re in my seat” – and have a plaque to back you up – in The Maritime Aquarium at Norwalk’s IMAX movie theater.
The Aquarium is selling seat plaques in preparation for renovations to its theater, the largest giant-screen IMAX theater in Connecticut. The theater will be closed Sept. 4-Oct. 14 for the work, which will be the final phase of the Aquarium’s $4.5 million “FINtastic RefurbFISHment.”
Cost to buy a seat is $500. Donors can put the engraved plaque in their names, or in the names of someone special.
“It’s a wonderful chance to make a lasting impression on Maritime Aquarium history,” said Sam Ross, the Aquarium’s development director.
