Giant Screen Theater at Peoria Riverfront Museum opens Saturday with Rescue, Sea Monsters

The first films to play at Peoria Riverfront Museum’s Giant Screen Theater will be Rescue 3D and Sea Monsters: A Prehistoric Adventure 3D. The Register-Mail reports:

When the Peoria Riverfront Museum opens to the public starting Saturday, many will flock Downtown not just for the exhibits and the art, but for film.

The museum’s giant screen 3D digital theater will roll free previews on Saturday and Sunday. The regular movie schedule and admission prices start Monday. Here are a few more facts you’ll need to know:

From sea monsters to disaster workers

The first two films being screened include “Sea Monsters: A Prehistoric Adventure 3D” and “Rescue 3D.” “Sea Monsters” will take viewers back in time and to the bottom of the ocean to view the bizarre and fascinating creatures that existed millions of years ago; “Rescue” reveals what it takes for military members and civilians to save lives in the face of a natural disaster after an earthquake strikes Haiti.
