The Hour: Maritime Aquarium offers Norwalk residents free admission Saturday

Norwalk’s The Hour reports:
Get your proof of Norwalk residency ready. The Maritime Aquarium at Norwalk is offering all city residents free admission on Saturday.
On Salute Norwalk Day, Dec. 5, residents can enjoy the Aquarium animals and three special exhibits: Festival of Lighthouses, African Penguins and African Underwater Safari.
The Aquarium has also teamed up with the Physical Education Department of the Norwalk Public Schools to sponsor the annual Norwalk River Fun Run on Saturday at 10 a.m. at Veteran’s Park. Students will be walking and running 1.2 miles around the park and over the drawbridge to the Aquarium. All young runners will receive a coupon for a free child’s admission to a daytime IMAX movie (good when accompanied by a paying adult).
On “Salute Norwalk Day,” Norwalk residents also can receive $1 discounts on the daytime showings of the IMAX movies “Deep Sea” at 11 a.m. and 1 & 3 p.m., “Animalopolis” at noon and “The Light Before Christmas” at 2 p.m.
The day even extends into the Gift Shop and Cascade Café, where Norwalk residents receive 10 percent discounts.
