KNOXVILLE, Tenn., Jun 03, 2010 (BUSINESS WIRE) — Regal Entertainment Group (RGC 13.20, -0.31, -2.26%), a leading motion picture exhibitor owning and operating the largest theatre circuit in the United States, announced tickets are on sale for Toy Story 3: An IMAX 3D Experience and Toy Story 3 in Disney Digital 3D. The film will be released in traditional 35mm format, digital projection, RealD 3D and IMAX® 3D beginning Friday, June 18. The movie will be playing in 3D at 308 Regal Entertainment Group theatres across the country.
“Regal continues to rapidly increase our 3D capacity by installing additional RealD 3D systems. Toy Story 3 is one of this summer’s most anticipated films and certain to become a family classic. We are pleased to present Buzz, Woody and the rest of the toys in Disney Digital 3D at more than 300 Regal Entertainment Group theatres across the country,” stated Dick Westerling, Senior Vice President of Marketing and Advertising for Regal Entertainment Group.
Toy Story 3 from Disney-Pixar welcomes Woody (voice of Tom Hanks), Buzz (voice of Tim Allen) and the whole gang back to the big screen as Andy prepares to depart for college and his loyal toys find themselves in daycare! These untamed tots with their sticky little fingers do not play nice, so it’s all for one and one for all as plans for the Great Escape get underway. A few new faces, some plastic, some plush, join the adventure, including Barbie’s counterpart Ken (voice of Michael Keaton), a thespian hedgehog named Mr. Pricklepants (voice of Timothy Dalton) and a pink, strawberry-scented teddy bear called Lots-o’-Huggin’ Bear (voice of Ned Beatty).
Toy Story 3 in Disney Digital 3D is rated G for general audiences. Tickets are available online at REGmovies.com and at the box office of participating Regal Cinemas, United Artists and Edwards Theatres.
