GSCA announces marketing award winners

The Giant Screen Cinema Association has announced the winners of its annual marketing awards:

July 28, 2010–The Giant Screen Cinema Association (GSCA) is pleased to announce the winners of its annual marketing awards, which celebrate the best execution of ideas in promoting giant screen films and theaters. The awards will be given at the Achievement Awards Presentation, sponsored by Technicolor, on Saturday, September 25, at the Tennessee Aquarium in Chattanooga, Tennessee, during the GSCA 2010 International Conference and Trade Show.

Educational Program
Marbles Kids Museum in Raleigh, North Carolina, for its Learning Lab program to supplement the field trip experience to the Wachovia IMAX Theatre at Marbles Kids Museum.

Film Launch by a Theater
Louisville Science Center, in Louisville, Kentucky, for its launch of the giant screen film Van Gogh: Brush with Genius.

Marketing Campaign by a Distributor
MacGillivray Freeman Films for the launch of Arabia 3D.

Theater Launch
Best Theater Launch will not be will not be awarded this year.

The winner of the Big Idea award, which is given for the most original and effective idea of a single marketing promotional idea, publicity stunt, or unusual marketing activity, will be announced at the awards gala on September 25.

The winners of GSCA’s film awards will also be announced on September 25. Categories include Best Cinematography, Best Sound Design, Best Original Score, Best Film for Learning, Best Film Produced Non-Exclusively for the Giant Screen, and Best Film Produced Exclusively for the Giant Screen.
